My major is communications.

I'm not a student at UCSD or anything, but I just got accepted to marshall as well. I have friends who are in ERC. Anyhow, from what they've told me Marshall has fairly easy ge's. I've heard the writing requirement can be pretty gnarly, but the rest are a cinch (no lang, minimal math...). The housing is alright. Suites aren't super old like sixth college who got erc's old suites. That's pretty much all I know. Basically, my friends told me that housing/ ge's are MY best fit for ucsd. I'll update you with anything else I learn from them. They're home for spring break =-)

oh yeah, and I got in under undeclared bio sci, but I plan to go pre-psych. I still don't know where I'm going tho. It's between ucsd and ucla =-/

I got in with Biochemistry as my major. My friend also got in under Biology.

=) Good times, folks. I hope I get my issues resolved so I can pave the way free to UCSD.

Daughter is accepted here and is giving it full consideration....The campus is beautiful and the academics well respected.

Here's the link to a thread I responded to about Marshall dorms and other stuff:
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/showthread.php?t=43350

My question was out of place, since it was a thread asking about Revelle's dorms, but luckily, bboyvortex was nice enough to provide information about Marshall stuff in response.

Apparently, our restaurant has the best food in all of the UCSD colleges' restaurants. YES...

I'm going to Marshall and am planning to major in either General Biology or Political Science. Thanks for the link j.project. I'm glad I chose Marshall as my first pick. I don't mind GE's just so long as it's not too much. :/

Another good place where you can find a lot of good info, and ask for info is is at http://www.livejournal.com/~ucsd !

Hahaha! I just visited the LJ community and they seem chilled, funny, and very helpful. They have the whole "Oh gosh, it's that time again!" except in a non-sarcastic, friendly, ready way.

LooL! That link was very good too, scribe. I'm friending it riiight now.

im going to major in human biology and that thing about marshall having the best food is very very goood news1.

nice im gonna major in human in Human bio too Revelle!

Dru2k-->...have you visited the thread where bboyvortex made posts about the dorms? There's something about that breakfast burritos that he mentioned. Hrm...

I heard that the restaurant, Ocean View Terrace, is privately owned and they close @ 1 AM. Besides stocking up on peanut butter and all those other handy condiments in the dorms, OVT being open until that time will be helpful, me thinks.

OH! Speaking of burritos, Java runs! I have a feeling I'll be doing Java marathons when finals and mid-terms hit. Hahaha Anyone with info about caffeine runs, post here please!

Yay and thanks for the food point :)

I got accepted into TMC as a PoliSci - Intl. Relations major. I'm still not quite sure whether or not I will attend, but it's always nice to have more options. I don't really have any info on TMC, though. (I only know people in Revelle and ERC.)

are you ****ing me, is there really an ocean view?

Ocean View's the name of the restaurant @ Marshall, but if you want ocean views... sigh

It's not specific to Marshall, but Omfgosh, the views... As real estate agents say, "It's all about the location, baby." Well, minus the baby part.

The views are fantastic.

Speaking of Political Science, what careers do most Political Science majors pursue, GradStudent? Law? Or something else?
