So now that Thursday is the absolute first day that anyone will receive notification....let's begin the REAL OFFICIAL ED COUNTDOWN....71 hours until I find out, I come home about a 2:30 and mail always arrives before I. so 71 hours...YES AT LEAST WE KNOW FOR REAL THAT WEDNESDAY they're sending it...

what is there to say? other than:
omgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomg~!~!!

it means Friday for me!!!!

jeez....i better start working on my Stanford app....not to mention that this week is already CRAZY....and all teachers have decided to have tests and essays before the holidays...

if i get an acceptance letter, this would be the best week of my life regardless of the fact that i would probabbly need to pull two or three all-nigthers!!!

this is it guys :)

and the sad thing is that its only MONDAY!!!!

the next five days are going to be loooooooooooooooooooooooong

Greco how do you know for sure, didnt they say they were mailing them out tomorrow night? Why so much later than last year?

i just called the admission office too, the admission officer answered with absolute certainty that they will mail the decisions on wednesday.

2 days left....holy cow.

No, not 2 days, because you're not going to get it on Wenesday.

70 hours until judgment

annadale...

hate to break it to you, but stanford was technically due december 1st. even though they grant clemency to the 15th. however, 1st being the priority is a nice way of saying "1st is the actual deadline"

^ wrong

dont worry at all, many many people send their apps right before the 15th

i SPECIFICALLY asked this question at the info session we had in DC, and the rep said don't worry about it just means that we would like to start reading apps, does not mean we expect them by 12/1...there is no penalty...and Stanford has the most transparent admission procedure of all elite schools (another reason why i LOVE that place)

PLUS, Stanford's website said recommended deadline of Dec 1 is for Part 1 only. So don't go freaking everybody out for no reason.

Pton is really silly. They probably get hundreds of calls a day asking when they will be mailing. Why dont they just send out an email stating the exact date, and then be done with it??

OR HOW ABOUT THIS ONE BUBBLE, List it on your Godd*** website like every other college, Pton really doesnt care, they like to have us squirm and be taking months off of our lives with this anxiety, wait, frustration, heartache.... as someone already said, they know we are all OCD perfectionist sickos, so why do they torment, isn't that cruel and unusual punishment????

YEAH! ANd even more ridiculous, they can't even give the same damn answer to different people who call!

I bet they've been hounded by the same questions a hundred times.

Greco, punishments are self-inflicted and you are certainly not a perfectionist.

Just think about it, by Thursday, some of you will have gotten your decisions and posting on the decision thread, and I will be sitting impatiently here in Los Angeles trying to remember where I put my tent so that I can live by the mailbox.

Because I sure as heck can't call them. I can't even think of what to say in response to my decision. Possible scenarios:

Accepted:
deafening scream, the person on the other end will need hearing aids later

Deferral:
"Thanks. Have a good day."
"Thanks. I'll keep my hopes up."
"Thanks. Um... okay."
"I... see..."

Rejection:
"Thanks. click"
"Thanks. I suppose it's for the best anyway."
"Thanks. Have a nice life."
"Thanks. Actually, no. Screw you. click" (:p j/k!)

Polish Dude, I love that through my posts you can give me a psychoanalysis......Pton doesn't have room for an ignoramus like you...have you contributed any useful information to this forum? So do everyone a favor and take a long walk on a short pier...
