Thurston vs. Crawford vs. Lafayette

hey all,

i'm an incoming freshman and am clueless about housing. in order to keep costs down i plan to live in the cheapest dorm options which are a Thurston 4,5 or 6. a Crawford 4 or a Lafayette 2 or 3. Thurston seems to be most popular and the "party" atmosphere doesn't really bother me, but idk how i feel about being in a 5 or 6 person room. thats a lot of people. Also, I heard it's kinda dumpy. Crawford seemed alright from the website. I don't know its reputation or anything about it really. Same for Lafayette. Just looking for some opinions and advice on the options and what you would suggest. Also, I'd really prefer not to be in a room with lofted/bunked beds, so if any of these options has that please tell me and I was also wondering if the residence halls have air conditioning.

in regards to my personality. i'm pretty laid back and easy going. i like to party, but not 24/7 and i'm not some crazy drunk or anything and would like to have some quite time to sleep and study and whatnot. a good social atmosphere is important to me, but i also like to have my privacy sometimes. i'd probably do fine in any dorm, but am just trying to see what other students/alums recommend and what their experiences have been.

Thanks so much!!!!
