Thurston vs Mitchell (Q for current students)

Okay so this is mainly a question for current students.
Ive heard a variety of things about Mitchell..ranging from 'it sucks' to 'everyone wants to be there.'
Thurston, I obviously heard that it is a huge party dorm, which sounds awesome, but they have no singles. Ive also heard that it could be kind of overwhelming and get pretty boring after a while (Ive been partying a lot most of highschool and I'm getting kind of sick of it lately)
So my question(s) is(are)
If I chose to live in Mitchell, what would I be getting myself into? Do a lot of freshman live there? Is it easy to make friends? Is it common to go next door to Thurston when you feel like it?
As an ED student I have the oppurtunity to live in a double in Thurston, is that better than a Mitchell single?
Thanks

It's totally up to you. I live in Mitchell now and I love it. Floors 3-8 are all freshmen, 40 on each floor. People hype the thurston thing before you get there and during the first few weeks. There is partying going on in all the dorms. Mitchell is more hoppin' than you think, it just depends on your floor. But yes, people from every residence hall party in thurston. The whole not having your own bathroom thing is not an issue after the first week. plus, mitchell has a kitchen on every floor (thurston does not have kitchens), mitchell has a 7-11 in the basement, a porch, a rooftop balcony. it's up to you but having your own space is awesome after a while.

Thanks for the info!

I read somewhere that there is a little ceasers in the basment of Mitchell..is that still true? lol (Its my guilty pleasure)
