TI-82 good enough for ACT Math?

Hey there, I have a Ti Nspire CX CAS and I know that’s not allowed so I’m stuck with a TI-82. Is that calculator good enough for the ACT or should I buy a new one?

I have never taken the ACT before.

Thank you, that’s nice to hear. Is there any significant advantage to having a TI-84+ (is it worth the money??). I’ve only taken the SAT math before so I’m completely lost.

Anybody else have any information on this??

As long as it can graph simple functions you’ll be fine

If possible, you could borrow a TI-84 from a friend for test day. Just be familiar with the functions and controls

In almost all cases, the best calculator is the one you have used the most. The TI-84+ is unlikely to give you any benefit over the 82. There just aren’t many questions where a calculator comes into play. Take a practice test with the 82 and I think you’ll find that it has plenty of horsepower.
