I have the Ti 83 plus calculator and I was wondering which is better for both the SATI math tests and SAT II Math IIc tests

I dont have a TI 89 and i want to put all the programs into the calculator, but i heard that some programs can't be put into the ti 83 plus.

should i get a brand new ti 89 calculator? or is it possible to find programs on ticalc for both sat I math and SAT2 math 2c in the TI 83 plus calc?

i'm not that great at math [scored a 690 on my math sats]
hearing from some of the members on this forum, they get easy 800s with the usage of calc programs .

no need for programs on the Math IIC...plus you don't have to waste time to search for which program you use because all of the calculations on the test can be easily solved on any graphing calculator.

I am using my ti-84 plus se, its basically the ti-83

The programs I have put on there for SAT Math 1, from ticalc.org

FACTOR2- factoring program for parabolas
GCFLCM- find the gcf and lcm of multiple numbers(very useful)
GEOFORM- Geometry Formulas for wierd shapes and finding area, side lengths
POLYTOOL- Same as GEOFORM, different interface
QUADSLV- quadratic solver
STMSLV- simultaneous equstion solver for 5 eqs
TRISOLVE- triangle solver, very useful

I used (barely) the Factor 2 program and the quad solver for sat 2 math 2, didn't really need it. I got a 780. Knowing the concepts and how to apply them is most important. But, i am sure there are programs out there that can make the computation component easier.

go to the ti calc website and it has alot of formulas. I have many for distance, midpoint, slope formulas, cosine + sine laws, triangle solvers, area finders, etc... for my ti-83. A ti-89 might be better, but you still cant go wrong with an 83

I just bought a TI-89 (haven't received yet). . . and now I'm having second doubts. Is using programs on the SAT. . . ethical? I'm curious. I'm not saying anyone is cheating, but I don't think I'd feel right. . .
