TI-83 calculator

Since a lot of posters on here seem smart, I'd assume you guys know where I can get a TI-83 calculator for as cheap as possible? I'm having trouble coming to terms with the fact that I have to pay nearly $100 for a calculator...

If it’s for SAT, it won’t help much. Not worth the investment unless you’re really skilled with it (meaning you follow all the tips in the books), because otherwise the money would’ve went to lessons or whatnot right?

But for school it is a handy tool to have, for matrices, graphs, calculus, a bunch of other stuff.

I just borrow from school.

For Algebra II, I used it nearly every day. We were required to purchase it for the class. You will continue to use it throughout high school and college, so it is a good investment.

If finances are a concern, see your math teacher, as the school may have a program that would provide you with a calculator without cost.

umm craiglist is always an option
i have no idea where you live but:
[BEST Graphing Calculator TI-83 deal–like new](http://sacramento.craigslist.org/ele/1582999793.html)
that one is selling for 60 dollars which i think is a pretty good price. Just search around the site
chances are though, you’d probably be buying a used graphing calculator

I’d get a TI-89 because its the same as the 83 only it can do stuff in calculus. Why buy the 83 now, when you’ll eventually have to buy the 89 for calculus?
