TI-84 Equation Solver

I've been told that using the equation solver can help save time, and I know that you can find it when you hit MATH, but how exactly does it work. Do you just type in the equation set equal to zero? Can you use it for different types of equations or ones with more than 1 variable...please explain. Are there only certain types of problems I would need it for on the ACT?

I think you’re not allowed to use programs on the ACT, though I don’t think the proctors really into it unless it looks like you’re going through menus instead of punching in numbers by looking at your hands and fingers. I Think ticalc.org has a lot of programs.

you’re obviously allowed to use this, b/c they let you use a TI84 and this program is already in every single TI84..its not one you put into the calc yourself…anyways, anyone wanna explain to me what exactly you do or give me a prob so i know if mine is working…thanks

nvm..i figured it out from the TI website…
