Ti-84 Plus

hey i just bought a TI-84 PLUS, anyone know any good functions for the math A.C.T? please post some if think they will be on there... thanks!

i would have bought an 89 titanium.

uhh.. BUMP

yeah you should have got the Ti-89 Titanium. So much more useful than Ti-84. It is however around like 60 bucks more though.

Will be useful in college too if you have to take Calculus or plan on majoring in engineering.

The ti-83 is all you need. The 84 is basically the same as the 83, just a bit faster and with more memory. But honestly, you don't need that. The 84 is just something TI is tryining to make money off of. The 83 is more than sufficent.

I have the 89-Titanium and it does indeed rock; however, it isn't allowed on the ACT, so you probably made an excellent choice going for the 84-Plus.

lol thank you nameless

can u guys give me some functions to put on there that'll help on the act?

Hmm... one of my friends had a program designed specifically for the ACT with all kinds of useful functions, but I forget what is was called or where he got it. It might be on ticalc.org somewhere... I'll see if I can find it...

I think its a better idea to acutally learn the stuff rather than copy the program and learn how to use that. It will probably be easier and will be more useful in the future.

thanks nameless..
mathwiz,i just need to get a good act score lol

I think the OP just wants to score well. So to answer the question, go on ticalc.org and download whatever you think you would find useful.
