TI-89 calculator question...

So, I downloaded a program onto my TI-89 Titanium that can do implicit differentiations. Here's what a typical question would look like:

<a href="http://www.ticalc.org/archives/files/ss/470/47015.gif%5B/url%5D">http://www.ticalc.org/archives/files/ss/470/47015.gif</a></p>

I type it just as it is seen: x^2 + y^2 = 4

Yet, I've input the same data countless times and get 0 as a result. I downloaded other implicit diff. programs and I keep getting the same answer, regardless of equation. What is wrong with my calc?

Cool. TI-89. I hear you can type in full algebraic equations and it tells you the answer.

i.e., (x/3)/(6+x)=x^2

... and it'll just tell you x!

if only i would have had that in seventh grade, during algebra 1....

Eh, nevermind. It was because I had variables for x and y stored. And the program is a useful problem checker.

wish i had that
