ti 89 graphing question

is there anyway to graph hyperbolas, circles, and elipses without solving for y if they are in their equation? It seems a bunch of IIC questions ask about points of tangency or intersection between circles or circle and line.

you can try getting a conics section program. I want to know about this too. For points of tangency you put in the point and solve. If it asks you where is the circle tangent to the x axis you put in y for 0 and solve for X. As for the others I would like to know also.
