I heard that the TI-89 cannot be used on the Math II test anymore. Is that true?

that'll be devastating. the ti-89 is the only calculator i'm really proficient with. i'm just curious, were you intending to use it with the apps? because my high school's math department forces us to clear the flash memory prior to taking a test.

I see no changes in either the SAT page on acceptable calculator use, nor the SAT page on the Math II. I am guessing it is still allowed until I see evidence of the contrary.

...not that it affects me; I take the SATs with a TI-84+. XD

I think that the 89 is so hard to use.... It took me 5 minutes to find the square root button XD

^^ thats sad lol
u can still use it

89 is hard? lol, it has lots of hidden functions that earlier models don't have.

I'm not the brightest kid on the block....

yeah. neither am i. but i've spent two year w/ my GC and though it's slightly hard at first, over time, you realise how powerful the instrument can get. especially when you get onto calculus.

I took math II with a scientific calc. The screen on my TI-83 ended up messing up the DAY BEFORE the exam and I didn't have an 89 back then. Then I didn't get any sleep the night before because of worrying. Oh well, I ended up with a 740, not that bad I guess but could've been better.

@Beef: aww. that's sad. i remember a guy in my high school whose 89 died day before a big calculus final. he rushed out to buy one for 250 sing dollars.
