<p>Why is the TI-89 banned on ACT? Please don't tell me it's too advantageous, I know that, but I want to know exactly why. Is it because of the Algebra system on it?</p>
<p>I believe it is because it will rationalize irrational fractions.</p>
<p>yeah the CAS(or whatever it’s called) on it angers the ACT people, i think hahahahha. i love it though.</p>
<p>The computer algebra system answers some questions for you so they dont let you use it.</p>
<p>the TI-89 is just too sexy for the ACT, clearly.</p>
