TI 89 Regular or Titanium?

I need a new calculator...as the other one has mysteriously broken.

Point being, I will be taking AP Calc BC this year. I, also, plan to use it on the SAT ML2 and in physics.

I noticed the difference in price between the 89 Regular and Titanium. Which do you suggest I get? Is there a big difference between them in regards to their functions?

It seems like Titanium just has more memory and is faster. Is the regular 89 slow compared to, let's say, 84 Plus? I don't know if I will need more memory, but I doubt I would...

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks! :)

Hmmm. Nvm. I think I will get the regular (did a search and saw the different points).

Is TI Nspire coming out this year anytime soon?

If you really want speed, go with the HP 50G. It pwnz the Ti-89 in terms of raw power and computing speed.

What the fish. It's 1 in the freakin' morning and I'm talking about calculators. Why am I still here?

I don't really know anything about the functional side of calculators, but the Titanium looks hawt.

Just saying.

I'd go w/ Titanium! I bought one from ebay for 100 bucks!

^I got one for only 60 on ebay :)

I'd go with titanium.

Wow. I wish I had an eBay acct. I hate the idea of spending $140-160 on a calculator.

I bought a brand new Titanium.....I didn't do any bidding....since it was an emergency. :D
U can just make one right now!

I actually just bought it from the amazon marketplace for $132 (expedite shipping haha)

Yay. Can't wait :)

I use mine all the time in calc class and used it in ap chem a bunch last year. as long as you okay it with your teachers, you should be fine (it can do some amazing stuff). Like i wasn't allowed to use it on one quiz last year in p-calc, but other than that i was good.

Get the Titanium. It looks better.

titanium = major win
go go go go go
