I am new to this forum, so this question may have been asked and answered many times, but - Are you allowed to use the TI-89 on the ACT? I read on the ACT website that it was not, but I read some of the forums where it was suggested to use it. Also, I thought I remembered my brother using it when he took the test. Does anyone know for sure?

No, you're not allowed to use it. But you can on the SAT.

You don't even need an 89 on the ACT math because it's already really easy. Although I use an 89 for the SAT/AP Stats, I just used my regular TI-30 for the ACT.

ACT: No
SAT/SATII/AP: Yes

as they have said, the ACT math is so easy an 89 would make it soo easy, especially the foiling and simplifying questions...
