I'm looking at buying a new calculator. Should I buy a TI-Nspire CX or TI-84+ SE? I will be majoring in BME.

I would just use whatever you currently have. I used a TI-89 but others used something with not nearly as many features. Never heard of the Nspire, so can’t help you there.

Most people in my math class used TI-83/84. You don’t need a fancy calculator.

If I don’t have a graphing calculator now, should I go to the nspire because it is like 10 years newer than the 83/84? Are more people switching to the nspire?

TI-89 is the greatest!

Stick with the TI-89 or TI-84 plus, I wouldn’t get the nspire (I have one only since I am a math teacher, but I think you are better off with the first two for classes).
