Any current students or alumni have advice for an incoming student? Though D is not a big football fan now, she has not yet experienced a Badger game. What is the best way to attend games? The website says incoming students won't receive purchasing info till June, but returning students could order in March. Are there enought tickets if you do not order a season package? It seems they have changed the procedure recently--I'm not sure I get it.

Anyway, I'd sure be grateful if someone could lay it out for football and hockey.

What about visiting parents? Are there ever tickets available?

Thanks,

ez

Given that the team will likely suck next fall, it should be easy to get tickets at the games except maybe Michigan or OSU if we play them at home. I'd get the tickets--she can always swap them with friends.

As always, thanks, Barrons. That was my take--even if you don't want to go you are the chick with tix. :) On our first visit to Madison, it was the weekend before homecoming and the whole city was just a zoo--in the Hilton ramp every car was "badger1" "gobadger" etc. No parking on street anywhere! Quite the event. Best to be prepared, eh?

Advice I got from the tour guide when I visited:

Try to find someone in your dorm who is on the marching band... They get in for free and don't need their season tickets. If you offer them the student price, they'll sell them to you.
