tickets to UF Football, Basketball

Hey guys, next year I plan on going to all basketball and football games at UF.. i know the football is a lottery and isnt that hard to get.. how about basketball, how can i get tickets to these games?

Every other sport (besides football) is free. For basketball, you have to request tickets on a game-by-game basis (no season tickets), but they are free!!!

I will be at every football, basketball, and hopefully baseball and tennis game next year.

but do i have to wait in long lines for each game for basketball or what?

if ur not there early..expect to wait a long time, cuz they fill up. plus with the fact they won last night, it might be worst next year

you don't wait in line to get the basketball tickets, you have to get them online. and if you get them online you're guaranteed to get a spot SOMEWHERE, it just might suck unless you get there early.

so the best seats are reserved for waiting in person, or did you mean the seats suck unless you get online early?

So when do students do the football lottery. How hard is it to get tickets and how do I go about obtaining them?

yea thats wat i mean..but you put it best(kirst) :)

the best seats are reserved for waiting in person, online just reserves you a ticket (for basketball)

Students are given priority in the lottery based on the number of credits they have obtained. The University claims students with 90 or more credits have the best chance. You must be registered for courses before you can enter the lottery.

No. I dont think you need to be registered to enter the lottery. However, you do need to be registered for classes when u pick up the tickets

correct. Anyone who has paid the deposit can join the lottery. If you get tickets, you will only be able to pick them up if you are registered for 12 credits in the fall.

I got an email from UF the other day about the football tickets, hopefully everyone did too, but here are the dates:

If you wish to purchase a 2006 season football ticket you must register for the student season football ticket lottery and pre-pay for your ticket. The student lottery registration period will begin on Mon., April 10 at 6:00 p.m. and run through Wed., April 19 at 11:59 p.m.

CAN i register with the lotter even if i have yet to send in my tuition deposit??? i have a UF ID and thats what they say they need.

so........ is the "bottom line" that as long as you follow directions for the lottery, you will be able to get in to the football games?

or will there still be F-Ball games you won't be able to attend?

Attention UF Students:

If you wish to purchase a 2006 season football ticket you must register for the student season football ticket lottery and pre-pay for your ticket. The student lottery registration period will begin on Mon., April 10 at 6:00 p.m. and run through Wed., April 19 at 11:59 p.m.
YOU
DO NOT HAVE TO CALL ON THE FIRST DAY TO REGISTER FOR THE LOTTERY AND PAY FOR YOUR TICKET! We will accept registrations for 10 days and registering early has no bearing on your chances of winning the lottery.

To register for the lottery, you must call the G.A.T.O.R.S. phone system at (352) 384-3262 locally or (877) 428-6747 toll-free nationwide and follow the voice prompts. You will need to know your eight-digit UF ID number and have a credit card with expiration date handy at the time you
place your call.

The student lottery will be processed by a classification system.
Students will be prioritized based on their UF credit hours earned and then be randomly selected from the pool of registered students.
Students who have earned 90 or more UF credit hours have the best chance of being a winner of the lottery. These credits are those that each student has accumulated while attending the University of Florida (including any credits registered in this 2006 Spring semester), not credits transferred from another school. Each classification category will be assigned an allotment of season tickets and will be sold within that category.

UF students do not have to be currently registered for classes to enter the lottery or order their tickets. However, undergraduate students will need to be registered for at least twelve (12) credit hours and graduate students will need to be registered for at least six (6) credit hours to pick-up their tickets in the fall. Students who do not meet this criteria should not enter the lottery for a ticket since they will not be eligible for ticket pick-up.

Once the lottery registration closes on April 19, the University Athletic Association will conduct the lottery and notify all winners of the lottery via e-mail by April 28. Please be sure the UF Registrar's Office has your valid e-mail address on file. You can also log onto www.uaa.ufl.edu/tickets after May 8 to verify if you have won the lottery as well.

Season tickets are $70 (includes all seven home games) , limited to one
(1) per student, and will be available for pick-up at Gate 13 of Ben Hill Griffin Stadium Tuesday through Thursday of each home football game week with a valid Gator1 ID. If you have a spouse or are a single parent, you may order a spouse season ticket or ticket for your child, as long as you have already provided the Gator Ticket Office with a valid marriage certificate or birth certificate for your child. The deadline to submit a copy of this certificate is April 9.

Please keep in mind that all students will be required to show their valid, most recent Gator1 ID card the day of the game, along with a UF student football ticket at the designated student Gates 12 - 15 in order to be admitted into the stadium!

For further explanation about the student lottery, please visit www.Gatorzone.com/tickets or call the Gator Ticket Office at (352) 375-4683, ext. 6800 Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thanks and Go Gators.

has anyone else besides me not been able to sign up because they said my UF ID # wasn't on file? I'm gonna call the ticket office tomorrow, just wondering if anyone else had that problem.

gatordan - I think that you have to do it via phone only. You call the number (above post) and give them your gator ID and credit card info. When my daughter logged onto the site it also told her that her UF ID wasn't on file but... she has no problem logging onto ISIS with her UF ID.

I can log onto isis and everything, but I did get through on the phone yesterday and when I input my UF ID they said it was not on file, I'm on hold with the ticket office right now to try to fix the problem.

Just called and ordered tickets for my daughter. My daughter's ID did work. The cost was $82 ( $70 for the football season plus $12 for a student ticket to the Gator Growl). Hope I did this correctly...I did get a confirmation code number.
