Ashley Harrison was one of the many victims of the tornadoes that struck Tuscaloosa and the south on April 27th. Ashley was from the DFW area and a graduate of Ursuline Academy of Dallas before becoming part of the Crimson Tide. Ashley was a senior pursuing a degree in Economics. She had been accepted to an internship at the United Bank of Switzerland in Washington DC for the summer of 2011. Ashley was a vivacious and loving young woman, a member of Phi Mu Sorority and Delta Sigma Pi Business Fraternity. While a student she was employed by the law firm of Phelps, Jenkins, Gibson & Fowler, LLP in Tuscaloosa. Her dream was to earn her law degree.

TIDE IN TEXAS is establishing this scholarship fund as a way to honor Ashley and her family by providing another deserving DFW student a scholarship to attend the University of Alabama.

TIDE IN TEXAS will be hosting a benefit concert on July 21, 2011 at Gilley’s Dallas. Ray Johnston Band will be performing and a silent auction and raffle will be held.
