Alrighty so I got accepted into Cal, LA, and SD..

I'm a math/science type person but I want to keep my options open..
Now I know at SD its math/science oriented and that'd be great for me but if I decide to not venture in that area will SD be able to facilitate me in that regard? Like do they have other sizeable departments in which I can explore? I've heard that LA has more options in the way of majors, but is it that much more sizeable?

You can still visit SD. Tour guides would be more than happy to give you a tour.

As for majors, yes, UCSD is great for science, but our political science, humanities and ethnic studies are some other great options. You often don't hear about other majors other than science from UCSD. Also, within the sciences, there's a huge variety of things you can do. UCSD's cognitive science major is the first in the nation, and is very interesting. Best of luck in your decision-making!
