My niece is a sophomore at Clemson and LOVES it!!!
There will be lots of purple and orange unwrapped again this Christmas— several of her aunts and uncles are now devoted Clemson fans. A recent girls weekend away had to include time to watch the football game on Saturday afternoon.
While it’s not the right school for my son, I’m sure those of you who will attend will love it as much as my niece does. Congrats!
I got accepted for animal and veterinary sciences!! I am from PA.
2080 SAT and 102 GPA, class rank 1/234
$10,000/year merit award
Although I haven’t received all my decisions yet, I visited the school and have few doubts that I will be attending. Very excited to be a tiger!
@carolinamom2boys Thank you! One of your posts was actually the reason I looked at Clemson to begin with. I absolutely love everything about the school. I actually do have one question. Do you recommend having a car on campus? I think I remember hearing that their animal facilities aren’t on campus and I wasn’t sure if there were other means of transportation.
If you can have a car, I would . There’s a lot of nice areas to explore on the weekends including the beach which is 4 hrs away. Greenville is also fun about 40 minutes from Clemson. They do have shuttles that are free if you can’t bring a car.
Accepted!
Stats:
ACT: 31
UW GPA: 4.00
Class Rank: 4/181
I also received 10,000 per year for out of state merit. Still waiting to here from NC State, Chapel Hill, USC, Appalachian State before I make a decision.
Clemson accepts students on a rolling basis, considering scores, class rank and GPA first. These students will hear first and be offered scholarships depending on these scores. If you hear on the Feb. deadline, then you will more than likely not be receiving any scholarship $$. My daughter is a Junior there (Loves it!) and was in the top 7% of about 900 students. To get an idea of the scholarship amount, go to their website http://www.clemson.edu/financial-aid/types/scholarships/cu-schol-recruiting.html . This will help you understand it better. Good luck to all!
it sure would be wonderful if my daughter would hear something soon, but I’m getting less hopeful given that she applied at the end of August and we haven’t heard anything yet. Her stats: 31 ACT with a 3.93 UW gpa including lots of honors and AP classes. Her high school doesn’t weight grades or rank … do you think that hurts her chances for a scholarship? We’re OOS and Clemson is her top choice - but we’d need some type of scholarship to make it work. Keeping our fingers crossed!
