Hello,
For some reason, whether it be poor math or a type error, I accidentally listed my weeks-per-year commitment to the school paper as 48 weeks instead of what should be 36. I have submitted applications with this error to 3 colleges, including my dream school. My question is, is it worth it to write/call each school and correct the mistake, or should I just leave it and hope that I receive the benefit of the doubt? Thanks.
Accepted wisdom is not to call and not to bug them. If you wrote that you were working for a national paper instead of your school paper, that would be an issue. But an arithmetic error is not something that it is worth bugging an already busy AO about.
They may just think you do some work over summer. Not a showstopper.
