Okay..this is basically going to be a rant. Hopefully you guys know how I feel.

I am starting to curse the time difference between us intel students and them American colleges/universities.

Cases in point? Knox chat, Tuesday night, 7-9pm CST which is 3-5 am Wednesday morning Romanian time. Beloit chat, Tuesday night, 8-10 pm CST, which is 4-6 am Wednesday morning here. Jeeeez! going insane It's now 2:10 am here in Romania. Reason I'm not sleeping is cause I'm bad at waking myself before 6 am (or even after :p).

Even when trying to arrange a suitable time for international students, like a international chat Monday morning 8-10 am CST time, it was 4-6 pm here in Romania, 2-4 pm in UK, 10pm-midnight in Malaysia... Some people are STILL in classes during that time or have afterschool activities or doing homework or...just something!

Some schools don't EVEN have chats especially for international students!

I know time differences make it impossible to find a suitable time to chat with *every*body, but I just needed to rant while logic and reason wasn't absent. Darnit, it's back!

are knox and beloit, colleges..?
and chats.. like online chatting?

yeah time differences suck!! I'm always trying to see Wash U's campus by the live video thing they have on their website, and whenever i'm awake, it's always night time there! and you cant see anything on the camera.
Yea this may not be the reply that you wanted haha..

oh and I can never talk to my cousin in canada because i think it's like a 12 hr difference or osmething.. so when it's 6am here, it is 6pm there or close to that..

yeah time differences suck! And do you know what else sucks? How US school years go from september-something. Yeah that is f annoying. Oh and do you know what else sucks? How US uses the thing. thing - foot, inches, lbs, etc.! And do you know what else sucks? How some people are born with fast metabolic rates and some arn't!

lol sorry quite off the tangent. I needed to rant also :)

Nah, it's okay, NoFX! I totally get what you're saying!

Yeah, Knox College is in Illinois and Beloit College in Wisconsin. Chats as in the school holds chats between admissions/students and prospies. Not MSN or Yahoo ones, but this Applet Java thingy.

Nah, it's weird that Aussie goes from Jan to December! I can't apply to half the schools I'm looking at there because they don't offer biotech for July intake! Grrr. And I'm not wasting another 6 months doing nothing!

I'm envious of ppl with fast metabolic rates! And pppl with long beautiful curly eyelashes!

Yeah...hitting three countries. In order of preference, the most first, U.S, Canada and Australia. :D Adding the UK, no matter HOW easy filling in UCAS form is, would just be a little too much... :o (yes I was thinking of it)

I'm applying to Aussie after March because the schools want predicted IB grades after March. Well, let's hope I hear from U.S. universities a little earlier so I know I can go the U.S. (But bye to any meeting with a friend... :( )

wow izzy.. 4 different smileys scattered around in 1 post! it looks good!

yeah it's unfair about the eyelash things too! I always have to wait for my eyelash curler to heat up. Then curl my eyelashes. Then put on lengthinging and volumising mascara. My friend has the LONGEST eyelashes in the world. They are long and they naturaly curl. (oh and her eyebrwos are gorgeous too :( she doesnt even pluck them because she gets no stray hairs!! they are like the perfect arc and the right thickness - not too thin slutty, not too fat dorky)

I have long eyelashes, and they annoy me. Like when I'm wearing science googles they brush up against the plastic stuff. With great power comes great responsibility...

Yes, I realize this has nothing do with the topic, and I'm not international. I'm just a rebel like that ;)

I didn't realize until after that I had four smileys. Smileys are cute, aren't they?

Ooooh, eyelashes. I don't do anything to my eyelashes. (Don't know how, don't really bother to do anything with them.) But something I hate is that MALES seem to have most of the natural thick, curled eyelashes. green with envy I admit to trying to pluck my eyebrows, then getting afraid I'd go overboard and end up with too thin. And I know how it feels to have eyelashes brush up against glasses/goggles.

Izz- apply for a conditional offer. Most places in Aus allows internationals to apply for conditional offers. Almost gives you a safety just in case :)

Don't Aussie universities and Canadians ones and British ones only give conditional offers anyway, if you don't have your final marks? shrug I'll do it, for sure. Just finding it hard to find an Aussie university which offers July intake for biotechnology cause not all their websites state explicitly whether they do or not!!

Don't forget that uni's here in aus have many majors classified under their general degree. Biotech would fall under science and many schools don't even bother to list the specifics offered in their courses. If you're serious abt aus, I can explain everything to you and how everything works and where is good for what and how to do everything and stuff.

I am a libyan student graduated with 75.23% from the Higher institute of electronics, libya.
