Time for prep?

Hi CCers I'm a rising junior and I'm planning to do the SAT in October but I'm not sure if that's enough prep, I'm know about the SAT format and most of the questions but I didn't do any practice yet. Do you think I should delay the SAT until December or until June of next year?

Don’t take it until you’re ready. Lower scores than you’re capable of serve only to demoralize you. Plus, it’s a waste of money. Practice tests are much cheaper ways to get practice!

You have plenty of time. Don’t rush it.

At the same time, if you’re going to start preparing seriously, I wouldn’t wait too long to take it. Try to time it so you hit your peak right before you take the test.

Thank you guys, I’m probably aiming for December right now, I do pretty well right now in the CR and the writing portions but I seem to luck out on the math.

I know somebody that has spent almost 1 year prepping for the SAT, don’t you think that’s a bit gratuitious?

If your junior schedule is as stressful as mine was, I would start studying now, in the summer.

bump please
