Hey guys
I have posted many times about how to prepare for the SAT exam in October .
But now I am out of time and I have got only 40 days to study hard.
My previous score on May is 1650:
Math:600
Writing:580
Critical:470
essay 7
My goal is to achieve 1800+ on October

I have the followings books:
BB(the official SAT book)
Barron's SAT book
Barron's SAT math workbook
Direct hits
Barron's Hot Words

I need a piece of advice on how to use these books in the 40 days left.
Thanks in advance :)

I’m wondering too…

Posts like these never help. Just go study your *** of.
Tip: Whenever you make a mistake, KNOW WHY you made it.

^up there. After you get your initial 1800 doing that, I reccomend doing practice tests from BB every 3-4 days, that alone will raise your score about 100 points

maroo, i got a 1650 on my june SATs and im in the same situation as you and here is my plan.

I have Gruber’s Math workbook (for math), Barrons 2400 (for CR+W) and BB for practice tests.

I plan on using those in the next 2 weeks to prepare for SAT and ACT (except for science and trig).

I can’t understand you
I need a plan to reach the 1800s
anyways doing a test every 3-4 days is a good idea :)

I am happy that there are people who have the same score
I thought that I am the only one who brought that score lol
I heard Gruber’s is good in Math section and I am planning to buy it

I mean to say that you gotta study, and USE the books instead of the many people who buy and barely use. Also, check this: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/sat-preparation/1191190-top-400-vocabulary-words.html AND MEMORIZE THEM ALL!

After you achieve an 1800 (take a BB test every week), start planning your routine differently: take a test every 3-4 days, and inbetween, review the old test you took and focus on your weakest areas. If these are writing or math, you’re in luck. If it is critical reading like me, it’s gonna be a little harder.

^I did that, and I went from an 1800 to a 2240 as of now. Good luck!

aha
You are right
I have many books and I wanna study them all
As for the vocab I am using the Direct Hits
Thanks for the advice :)

I looked at my Gruber’s book and Barrons 2400 for about 30-45 minutes for 2 nights and took a mock SAT on the third night with a prep company called RevPrep (it was a free mock SAT offer). They graded it and everything and sent a score report.

I didnt focus much on CR, i did on W + M though and i got a 630 in M and a 680 in W. I owe that to Gruber’s and Barrons.

Oh really? I heard also many good comments about them
I think I will get them soon
