Time Limit at Current School

A lot of the universities I've researched say you need to apply to transfer before you have finished 2 years at your current college. What does that mean exactly? What if I finished, say, 1 and a half and then took a semester or two off? Can I still apply? What if I did 2 years at a college, went to work for 5 years, and then sought to go back to college--but at another school? Does anyone know the rules on this?

Well usually there is not general 'rule' to transferring after two years (that is with perspective from the colleges I'm applying to.) Although, it may be a disadvantage to you because if you come in say with 90credits, most colleges require you to get at least 60 credits to consider graduating from their school. Therefore, 2 years is usually 60 credits for most students. Hope this helps!
