Time saving tips for ti calcs?

I have a ti84 and many of the programs are helpful for the SAT but I don't want to be jumbling through it and waste time to find a certain application. Are there any shortcuts or tips you may know? Thanks!

Programs probably aren’t going to help you. But some things that may help you:

-know how to solve a system using the intersection point on the graph. solve eqns for y and put them in y1 and y2. Hit graph, then 2nd->Calc->5. Hit enter twice.
-Solve inequalities with a graph. So say you have something like |4x-4|>5. Just graph y=|4x-4| and y=5. Use Calc->Intersection
-Sometimes it helps to store things as variables. So say you’re plugging in one of the answer choices into something to see if it works. You can type the number, then Sto> then a letter to use that as a variable. Saves time.
-Math->Frac is your friend.
-Enter data into list 1 and then do Stat->Calc->1 to quickly get standard deviation, mode, median, mean, quartiles.

That probably covers the bulk of what you’ll have to do. Good luck!

Thanks! Any more input would be great. :)

You shouldn’t really need to use programs when you are taking the SAT.
