I will be going to orientation soon. I was wondering how much time I should leave in between classes if they where to be consecutive. How much time should I try and leave myself if say I should need to get to the other side of campus?

Well they give you 10 minutes anyway. I.e. classes run 9:40 - 10:30 / 10:40 - 11:30, etc.

I can walk to most places in that time frame. I can do most walks from the Quad area to science buildings or to CEBA and such. The only problem for walking would be if you had a class in the Cox building and 10 minutes later you had a class in on the golf course or organic gardening behind ECA of something to that nature. The only times I’ve had problems getting to class on time was when my professors would keep me over the time limit (which seemed to happen in my labs or literature classes from time to time). But if that’s a frequent occurence you can just leave early anyway.

So basically I’ve had no problems getting to class on time when my classes are scheduled consecutively.

Waaay back when I was in school I had a CEBA->Lockett (Math building)->CEBA schedule back-to-back. I STILL walk fast (my family complains) and I blame that one semester at LSU 20 years ago :-).

Seriously…freshman classes tend to be fairly centrally located, so you’ll be fine.
