Hi Divamamacita! Actually my daughter was Galinda in the Wicked sketch. How are you? Is Devon going back? We have applied to Interlochen again this year. I would love to keep in touch. Hope all is well with your family.

My D applied and was accepted for first session – just waiting hear from MPulse before we decide. My sense is she will choose Interlochen. I remembered that your D was Galinda after I said Elle Woods!! I guess I got the blondes mixed up!!

I remember Devon well, so talented! She lit up the stage!
Emma also applied to Mpulse but didn’t make the priority deadline. She was rehearsing for 3 shows and got overwhelmed. Teachable moment!
She loved Interlochen and would be happy to go back. Did Devon apply to the one week audition camp as well?

D applied to the first three week session at Interlochen and then a one week audition workshop at Baldwin Wallace. I think she prefers Interlochen, but, we’ll see what we hear from MPulse.

To add to ManVan’s post, quite a few of my D’s freshman classmates at CCPA are 1 or 2 (or more) years older than she is. I think it is much more common and less of big deal in an arts major. Not everyone is ready for that level of committment right out of high school.

Thank you for posting this momofnine and thank you all for the wonderful responses! I have cut, pasted and will be adding this to my 8 million notes (we are a sophmore currently) of what to do in 2 years. ps – do you have 9 children! I agree with Calliene! Add a cocktail to your list of things to do :-)
