timing in lectures

I'm choosing my classes before I go to my orientation (the one next Monday), but some of the classes I prefer are full now. The only possible schedule, which still keeps all my preferred classes, would require me to walk from WGYoung to NW Auditorium (by Sproul) in ten minutes, then from NW Aud to WGYoung in another ten minutes.

how often do lectures finish say, 5-10 minutes early, so I can get to my classes on time? Do they ever end late?

Thanks in advance

"...would require me to walk from WGYoung to NW Auditorium (by Sproul) in ten minutes..."

Ouch =</p>

Lectures rarely end early; they're far more likely to be punctual within five minutes.
I hope you're good at track and field. :rolleyes:

i had the same problem..i like to take my time to get around though..but my OC is said its possible..i ono maybe with a scooter?

I dunno, most of my lectures usually end at least 15 min early, sometimes more. Actually I get really anxious if lectures go to their official end times because it just doesn't feel right anymore. Where is my buffer zone?!

But yeah. Young to Sproul in 10 minutes would be tough. 15 is doable though.

arg. I hope I won't miss too much the last 5 min. of classes then. do people ever leave early?

allie- what classes did you take? the classes I need to end early are Math 31B (Calc) and GE Cluster 23 (Performing Arts and Society).

wallyfus, the only thing that i'd like to warn you about is that professors usually see everything - especially when people arrive late and leave early. true, there are some professors that aren't bothered so much by it... but, i've had a couple professors that get very spiteful towards students when they leave early and have even gone to the lengths of pointing those particular students out to the entire lecture hall... (which i would assume is very embarrassing...)

when, i took math 31b, we rarely got out early. i had prof. murphy (and i hope for your sake you don't have him!)

Eh most of my classes (lectures especially) are in the comm department.

I can't really speak for other departments. But you never know.
