<p>I was accepted back in December. Wisconsin is in my top 2, but I haven't yet made a final decision as to where I'm going next year. I know I need to decide by May 1, but I'm wondering if there are any deadlines (whether hard deadlines or soft deadlines to get earlier choices, priorities, etc.) for housing, SOAR and the like before that such that I really need to decide sooner. Anyone know?</p>
<p>yes – there are a lot of deadlines – March 1 for housing, March 1 for honors programs. Go to My UW, and look around. It’s a little cumbersome but important!</p>
<p>If you meet March deadlines you won’t be at a disadvantage for housing choices or SOAR dates. Housing choice has a lottery- it is not first come first choice. SOAR date applications won’t be available until April I believe- waiting to reply in late April may make a difference? Deposits are refundable before May 1st- you need to notify both Res Halls and UW separately and in writing.</p>
