This is probably a stupid question, but how does the whole application process work? If the schools receive the recs and scores first, do they just hold on to them until an apllication is received? Or the other way around....if they receive the app without the recs and scores, do they assume those are on the way and hold it until it is all pieced together? If my son knows which schools he will apply to in the next month or so, should he go ahead and get the ACT scores sent now, even though he hasn't finished the applications? One app isn't even out yet. How do you get the whole package together when it states some of it must come from ACT and your guidance counselor? Thanks...obviously new to all of this!

Both. Doesn’t matter which come first as long as it’s not past the deadline (although recommendation letters and SAT scores can come a little late).

Sure, if he isn’t planning on taking the ACT again and you want to get it over with.

There will be a file made for each student for stuff that comes in. As long as everything is submitted before the deadline, you won’t run into any problems.

Thank you! I know very basic quesitons, but I have always wondered about that.
