Timing, rush

Why is there a discrepancy between APs on timing and pacing yourself?

AP Euro, it's more SAT like, you have to almost rush on the essay, you can't daddle around. Same with the MC.

But then there's Computer Science, and you get a ton of time for everything, you aren't in much of a rush at all.

Why does Collegeboard make it different, exam to exam?

Who said Computer Science has a ton of time? It may seem that way at first, but have you tried taking the exam? Most questions ask you to dry run a program, and that takes a lot of time. And on the FRQs, you’ll have to write a couple of program segments. I wouldn’t really say it’s a ton of time.

I know I took the Human Geography exam and finished the multiple choice and essays way before the time given. I knew the material, but I was never really taught how to write the essays-- that may have been why.

In terms of AP Language…I was worried about the timing but finished my essays ~30 minutes early and just doodled all over the page. I guess it’s a better problem to have than lack of time, but I find that if you’re efficient, logical, and concise you should be fine.
