Now that I'm all done with SAT's and I'm approaching senior year 2nd semester, I want to say... people with a 2390: don't be afraid to take the SAT's again for a 2400! The reason why there aren't that many 2400's out there is because people who get a 2300+ are satisfied. Well, I got a 2390 the first time (critical reading guhhh) and I took it again and got 2400.

Anyways, my point is...try...and try...and try...until you make it. It takes knowledge to get 2000 and above, it takes test-taking skills to get 2300 and above, but it takes courage and perseverance to get that 2400.

The only reason to retake a 2350+ is to boost your ego. While a 2400 is distinguishable from a 2300, any two scores within 10~50 points of each other are considered equal by any admissions officer. The only reason to retake a 2350 is if you have a 750 math and are applying to MIT/CalTech. Other than that you just have too much time on your hands.

Also, part of the reason a 2390 is so much rarer than a 2400 is because often the curve doesn’t make it possible to make a 790 on a section. Often -0 is 800 and -1 is 780 or something like that.

can I ask why around the “800’s” of yours, there are fluxs in pixel colors?
If you have a good resolution screen, please look at it. doesn’t it look suspicious that everywhere else the pixels are uniform, but when you get to the numbers it looks like its been edited?

Hmm… I took a screenshot and saved it as bmp, but the filesize was about 3mb. To reduce the size, i saved it as jpg, which is roughly 100kb. I looked at the numbers and I get what you mean. If you pay attention to the other text, you can also see the same fluxes, especially the words “Critical Reading.” I think the light blue makes the #'s blurry, but whatever. I’ll see if I still have the original bmp file.

I wouldn’t recommend retaking a 2390, but I give you major props for improving a 2390. 99% of people who would retake a 2390 would get a lower score.

and i also heard that
since 10-20 points dont really
tell about people’s smartness or dilligence
that colleges kinda
dont like those ppl
who care too much about few points
and retaking it

what did you get on your essay? Because if it’s not a 12, you should start considering a retake. :

seriously, people like you need to just shut up. There’s no reason for you to be showing off your 2400 to people on here. Not everyone here can get a 2400, and you giving bad advice on retaking a 2390 is just plain ridiculous.

Seriously, look at this guy’s photo “proof.” It just looks like a lousy Microsoft Paint Job to me. What a ■■■■■…come on guys look at his name…he’s obviously getting a laugh out of this. Just ignore him (sorry I meant IT).
