<p>after taking literally twenty practice tests by collegeboard, i've noticed a pattern for the 35-question multiple choice writing section.</p>
<p>for the last four identifying sentence error questions (#26-#29), which are always the most difficult questions (on collegeboard's 1-5 scale of question difficulty, these are the 4's and 5's), there is almost always an error.</p>
<p>if you find yourself with a no-error for one of those questions, take a second glance and look over it very closely. usually the error is very subtle and nuanced, for example (this was a #29):</p>
<p>In 1988 a Society icebreaking ship helped free three gray whales that had become trapped in the Arctic ice after they had swam into the coastal waters of Alaska to feed. No Error</p>
<p>the error in this is "had swam," which should be "had swum"
99% of the time there is an error for these last four questions, just remember this when you are taking the test</p>
