Tip

Anyone else been asking to apply for the TIP scholars program? and can anyone who was/is in it give me some insight?

They sent me an email too:) I have no idea what it does, but I figured and won’t hurt to apply.

It’s always a good idea to do a search to see what you can find out from earlier threads.

For example, this is what popped up when I did a search:

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/university-texas-austin/856312-tip-scholar-program.html?highlight=tip

Yeah I read all of that stuff, thank you.
I was wondering if there were any updated opinions. It seems as though it might be for “at risk students” is that true? Is it worth the time? Is it worth applying to?
I would love someones opinion!

No its not ‘‘at risk students’’. I’m in TIP and some of these people have been valedictorians in their classes. It’s just a good program to join and it looks good on a resume. Do it if they ask you and you wanna! They just offer tons of help, EXCLUSIVE spots in classes you might like to take, and FREE printing! In college, the more help someone offers you, trust me, you’ll want to take them up on their offer in the long run!

TIP seems to be for LAC and CNS. Is there anything similar in McCombs?
