Tips about linens and dorms?

Hey guys,

So I got a mail from northeastern regarding linens and sheets and whatnot. It appears to be linens provided by the school, and they recommend it because their beds are oddly sized. Is this a smart move financially to purchase linens from the school and not from outside?

Also, how is Stetson West?

Most schools require extra long bedding. There are a lot of other places you can buy them besides through the company you get the mailing from (we ordered them for D1, they were a little scratchy). Target and Bed Bath & Beyond are a couple of good sources.

Personally, I would not order from the catalog. I bought Twin XL bedding from Bed Bath & Beyond and it worked out perfectly. They make the catalog out to be a convenient, affordable option but I would highly suggest other retailers.

What are you wondering specifically about Stetson West?

Twin XL is standard for dorms. These fliers make it sound super special so you’ll buy their stuff. I ordered mine from Target and had it delivered to campus so it was waiting for me when I arrived. Super convenient.

I agree with the two posts above. I got my sheets from Amazon. Cheaper and easier.

Their microfridge thing is convenient, though. Not sure if they’re advertising that yet. They’re expensive, but delivered straight to your room.

I also would recommend a foam mattress topper. The beds vary in comfort, but mine last semester was really awful. Foam topper was a lifesaver

Did you just have delivered to the dorm? How did you go about accessing it when you arrived during the 2 hour move in time?

Once you get your official school mailing address you can have them delivered to the school. You get an alert when a package is delivered and need to go to the mailroom (which one depends upon which dorm) to get your package.
