Tips And Advice For High School Students

i wrote this list on a different website, with an account of a different name, but i am the true author of this list.

^ And I’m Mary, Queen of Scots

I’m sure we can all agree that the copy and pasted list is very amazing and true but it’s common sense. I mean we’ve been hearing those same pieces of advice over and over. When I clicked on this thread I thought they were going to be fun rules and inside type rules that are more fun and make a lot more sense. I mean be respectful, respect authority, etc is basically common sense. We’ve been hearing those same lines of speech from our principals, parents, and other adult figures.

Can someone please fill up this thread with more fun rules of advice? (:

Or at least rules that people need to know!

For example:

DO NOT TALK ABOUT PEOPLE. Seriously I was in the locker room today and a freshman was telling another girl this and that and saying things like “oh this girl called you this and yeah i don’t like her” and I was thinking to myself even if this person was talking about this girl just don’t tell her. It starts more drama and fights and it’s seriously completely unnecessary. Just don’t talk about people period. If someone starts talking about someone DON’T JOIN IN! Just say “oh she’s cool” or “I don’t really know her so I can’t talk about her”. The last thing you want to do in high school is get wrapped up in petty drama!

But I like Elodin’s list a little more. Even though some of the points were ridiculous a lot of them did make some sense…

Elodin ftwwwwwww

Cheers  .

^ Sorry, lol.

^ Don’t worry, you’re not the first.

3x. Have a great connection with your teacher.
Talk to your teacher, participate in class, go ask questions during lunch or something, tell some jokes to him/her.
If you succeed you have the grade you want, excellent rec, and just recognition)

I’m saddened they deleted elodin’s post. O_o

I have one:

Don’t get so caught up in school you start ignoring your family. I remember all the nights I isolated myself doing homework last year and not spending time with my family. We became distant and almost strangers. You never know when something will happen, I know I didn’t expect it when it rolled around. Try to spend time with your family nightly if you can.

Solid. These are more like life lessons than just high school advice. It’s all common sense, but sometimes even good people need a reminder of the basics. :)
