Next Year I will be a junior and this is my schedule below:
Honors Biotechnology II
Honors Pre-Calculus
AP World History
AP Environmental Science
AP Biology
AP English Language and Composition
AP Statistics
AP Psychology
I just need some tips for taking all these classes and please don’t tell me not to do it. Just tell me any strategies or tips for taking this many AP classes study habits for these classes. And any words of wisdom for any particular of the AP classes. Any encouraging words from people have taken this many ap classes and what they did to keep them sane or ahead and not fall behind.
P.S I’m on an A and B day schedule so I will have 4 of these classes or an A and B and will switch every day. So I will be having each of these classes 2 or 3 times a week.
P.S.S I won’t have any extracurricular activities so my life will be fine with that and I get home around 3:30 p.m.
So any pieces of advice would be appreciated Thanks
Don’t Procrasinate.
I have taken AP Biology, AP Psychology, AP World History, and AP Microeconomics this year as a sophomore on a A/B schedule too.
These are all really easy classes and don’t get discouraged and afraid because of the term “AP”. Think of them all as honors classes.
For AP world, figure out the trend for every time period(e.g. in post classical era, trade a money is a big thing because of the Birth of Islam)… If you can figure that out during lecture, then you would never have to study for that class. That’s what I did.
AP biology is all about interpreting graphs. If you can do that and look for key terms in the questions, you’re good to go.
AP psych… just pay attention to the lectures and you will be fine. It’s pretty much common sense with vocabulary words and a few facts here and there.
Good luck!
You should be fine. All those APs are not most difficult APs.
you should do some EC activities because if you don’t do well in your classes, then colleges will sort of “blame” the EC. It just overall looks better.
No. They’ll “blame” the applicant for not balancing time well.

I will have some extracurriculars:
Recycling Club
Science National Honor Society
National Technical Honor Society
Key Club
Gay Straight Alliance
Envirothon

Thanks for your replies your making me a little bit less scared about this course load.
yeah I think the biggest tip is to not procrastinate and manage your time well (easier said than done). and if you ever are unclear on anything, ask your teacher right away!! All your unanswered questions will add up by the time you have to study for your exams, and make things a lot harder. good luck! xx
@aude182
Thanks for the reply and I think the biggest problem I have is procrastination and time management. I want to work on it but I kind of don’t know where to start.
APWH: I feel really bad about giving this advice because it’s what I did and I know it’s not the right way to succeed in class! I’m just trying to be realistic, though. The book is beyond boring unless you absolutely love history. If you ever don’t have time or get too bored with the text book, you should buy the Barron’s prep book and read it throughout the year. A lot of people on CC said that all they did was read this 2 days before the exam and they got a 5 on the exam but reading it throughout the year along with skimming the important parts of the book will help! Also if your teacher requires you to do 100 note cards a week (I don’t know if this was just my teacher or all teachers for APWH), they’re all on Quizlet. Just google the chapter and then AP world history Quizlet.
I think the best way to succeed in any type of class is to be genuinely interested Even if you hate the class, always think with a positive mindset.
AP Phsyc and APES are along the “easiest” AP classes. Everyone says as long as you read the book, you’ll be fine. Again, if you can’t find yourself reading the book, buy Barron’s
Good luck!!
@kfaustria
Ok thanks I think I’ll but the Barron’s book for ap world and do exactly that thank you.
ap’s are by definition trivial. thus, you should have no problems at all. unless you care about your grades, of course. then they’re really annoying since they’re trivial but teachers don’t want the class to be trivial. my suggestion is to play trivial pursuit or watch anime. i prefer the latter.
If you have the natural intelligence and desire to do well, you will do great. APES, Psych, and Stats are not very hard. The other 3 could be time-consuming depending on the teacher though. Just make sure you do the necessary reading and assignments
