Tips for BFA/BA/MFA colleges

Hello everyone, so I am a college student in a community college as of now, I applied to Purchase College BFA program and didnt get in (I wont lie, I didnt come prepared). So I didnt totally shoot my hopes and I have participated in a production here at my school and learned some new things, I even got nominated to go to a Kennedy festival to compete for 2014, but I hope not to be at my school by that time ... anyway..

I didnt do too well in high school but here at my college ive gotten more in my books and gained a 3.4 average for my first semester. I would like to transfer and hopefully gain a BFA from another institution. I am preparing monologues, and songs to do for my auditions. I plan on auditioning to Rutgers, Purchase, UNCSA, Depaul, Florida State, Oakland University, and University of Cincinatti. I am trying to go strictly for acting ..

If it do not get into any of these colleges I hope to go to Purchase (really love purchase) and minor in something else and hopefully get a MFA from another institution, I really do not insist of giving up on this profession. I feel much more prepared and am eager to get started with everything and see how it goes.

Does anyone have any tips for me on my journey?

I would also appreciate it if you would share your journeys or about your D or S getting into any BFA/BA's and how they feel about that certain institution.
