tips for getting in...

anyone have any cool little tips or tricks towards improving your acceptance chances? anything broad is fine.

thanks a lot!

Get a 2400 on your SATs. Become national champion at 72 different ECs, at the bare minimum. Make sure your essays say Georgetown on them instead of some other school.

Do three internships for your senator. Shadow a doctor for nine years. Your parents better have gone to Georgetown too. You better be attractive too or else Georgetown will throw your application in the trash. And they WON'T return the picture.

Seriously, what we're getting at (or atleast what I"m getting at lol) is that you don't HAVE to do EVERYTHING. I don't usually read the "What Are My Chances threads" on here because most of the time, if a kid is even considering Georgetown, they have a good chance. Unmotivated students do not look at Georgetown. People's stats seem to be the same (SAT score, president of this/that/and the other, varsity everything) too. They may not be admitted, but they have a good a chance as anyone else.

There are no little tips to getting in. Go to the informational meetings. Be enthusiatic in your interview. Be a leader of a the clubs that you REALLY care about. Do good things in those groups. Challenge yourself in school but it's okay if your grades slip when your second semester senior. You don't have to take 9 AP classes. Take the ones your interested in so you'll have some background once you get here. Be involved in things that relate to what you would study in Georgetown. JUST DO YOU.
