<p>the thinner tires will be more uncomfortable, but you’ll get used to the terrain and know when to slow down a bit. road bikes used to be really hip until the 90s, when mountain bikes took over in popularity. But I can’t blame them, mountain bikes are resilient and low maintenance, perfect for the average commuter. You can jump curbs without any second thought. not so with road bikes. They’re great if you know how to take care of them.</p>
