Should I read them in full length, or skim them? Are there any other things that I should be doing like margin noting? Underlining specific things? I never have problems with the shorter ones because I can get through the whole thing and actually read it without worrying about time, but I'm not the fastest reader so it takes me a little to read those long passages. Any suggestions?

I usually look at the questions that ask for specific lines first and read the few lines before and after to answer the question. I do kind of skim though. So basically, I read while answering the questions, and eventually I know enough to answer the more general questions.

This is kind of off-topic, but I find that reading them in full length works better for the AP English & Language exam.

Thanks. I don’t think I’ll need to worry about the AP english stuff as that’s my worst subject. I’m a more math/science/music oriented person, so I’ll stick to those APs. Will you read any of the passage before starting the questions to get a little understanding, or you just go straight to the questions?

I go straight to the questions. Of course, you can always skim a little. Skimming doesn’t really help me because it wastes a few seconds (that are very precious) as none of it goes into my head. But everyone’s different.
