<p>I disagree about vocab. I have always been a voracious reader, but some words on the SAT are straight up obscure. The second time I took the SAT I used both versions of Direct Hits and got an 800 in CR (only missed one passage question). Several words in those books came up on that SAT so I think it’s worth it. Books are pretty thin and probably won’t take you more than a couple hours to solidify in your memory.</p>
<p>For essay, use two solid examples, throw in a few SAT vocab words if you can (use correctly though), and write until the bottom of the second page.</p>
