grading may not be subjective to those who do well in math/science courses, but it is subjective to those who aren’t geniuses in the classes, yet show enthusiasm, a desire to learn and improve grades, and actually manifest that in their work for the class. that’s because then the teacher will, in some cases, improve a student’s grade based on those factors.

<p>Agreed, one of my math teachers offered extra credit to those who attended extra help sessions but still struggled on the tests. I wish all teachers would do this.</p>

<p>At my school, each teacher decides the percentage tests/homework/participation/midterms will count for. Usually its a pretty even distribution.</p>
