Tips for the Application

Anybody have any tips for the Application?

Things like what to include, what not to include, what to emphasize, and even little things that you wished you could have changed about your application after submitting it would all be extremely helpful.

Add everything you can remember in there. I guess if you got accepted you have no real regrets lol.

I meant if you had forgotten something and realized between the time you sent the app to the time the decision came in.

bump.......

Anybody? 7:< not even ASMAJ? :<

I think the essays are a crucial part of the application. Make sure you write the best damn essays ever and get them corrected by an english teacher before you submit you essay.

As a mom of a new Gator freshman, I recommend that you use every possible amount of space in the application. Include details that demonstrate your leadership qualities. Discuss your depth of involvement in your favorite activities. Thousands of people apply to UF now, and many well-qualified applicants are turned away because there simply aren't enough seats for them all. You have to make yourself stand out from other applicants who are just as smart, just as talented, and just as creative as you are -- and you have to do it in the space allowed in that application. As you fill it out, think about, what makes you a potential leader? What can you bring to the school that distinguishes you from all of the other great kids that are applying?

I concur with UFGators that your essay should be perfect. Write, rewrite, and get some input from your guidance counselor. Good luck to you!
