Tips for Transfer from UGA-BioMed Engr

Hello everyone, I'm looking to transfer from UGA to Georgia tech. My current GPA is pretty low for the transfer but I thought I would ask you guys for some advice.

cGPA: 3.24
sGPA: 3.10

I'm a rising junior at UGA taking summer classes. I had a really bad semester Spring 2013 because I had too many hard classes, work and ECs. I'm looking to transfer for BioMed-Engr at Tech (Pre-Med) mainly because UGA's program isnt that great. I'm currently a Microbio major at UGA. Do you guys have any advice as to when I should transfer, and things like that?

Thank you.

For transfer student, tech just only look for your college’s gpa… So that you should just boost up your gpa as much as you can is fine.( I am transferring from a community college to tech for EE in this fall, so that is my experience of it). And the last thing is, you need to finish all the basic requirement classes.

get ready to work. uga gives nothing compared to gt

Good luck…I have a 3.89 gpa 3.8 math science with 78 credits and applied for Biomedical Engineering and I got wait listed…why do you want to transfer from UGA

^^^Crud! How selective is Ga Tech for grad school, if the OP finishes his undergrad at UGA, and then applies for BioMed grad school at Tech?

What do I need to do to increase my chances of acceptance into GT I am looking to transfer after my freshman year at Southern Polytechnic State University?

The following are the classes I need to take in order to transfer in one year. What do you think?

Fall
English Composition I
Calculus I
Chemical Principles I
Intro to Physics I
1 General Education elective

Spring
English Composition II
Transfer Calculus II
Chemical Principles II
Intro to Physics II
1 General Education elective or CS

Also it is recommended for me to take Linear Algebra for Calc and Mathematics Elective
