Tips From A 2400er

Here is an easier way to think about it:
(x+y) = A and (x-y) = B
AB = 10 and B = 2
A2 = 10
A = 5
(x+y) = 5
The ‘trick’ is realizing that you don’t have to solve for x or y.

You almost certainly won’t see a problem in that exact form, it’ll be something like

x^2 - y^2 = 10 and x - y = 2, what is x + y

You need to know that (x^2 - y^2) = (x + y)(x - y), and then just substitute.

his CR advice is pretty bad.

Wow, roflmao I am stupid…Anyway thanks.

wow, that screenshot… is probably the most beautiful thing i’ve seen in my life…

I clicked the 2400 screenshot and i…
JIZ ZED IN MY PANTS

That screenshot is soo powerful…

thanks for the post! helped a lot.

ahahahahahaah

amazing post! thank you

You had a 10 essay and 78 MC for 800, I had an 11 essay and 75 MC for 790. Was I one question away? Would’ve been 2400 -_-

How many times did the OP take the SAT? It seems like he must have quite alot.

@robertfriedland: Yes, one question would have given you a 78 mc/ 11 e which would have yielded an 800.

Dude…you realize my mouth was watering with the prospect of a perfect SAT score the whole time I was reading this?

I love you so much…I don’t care if that sounds weird. Omigosh, this is awesome. I have my first SAT testing coming up on Dec. 5th, and I’ve done, like, three practice tests and taken the PSAT. Reading this, I don’t know if it’s enough (duh, no), but this has really motivated me to get my butt over to the torture desk, set the timer, and DO MORE PROBLEMS.

Seriously, though…I don’t know how to say this, but even though I basically already knew everything you just said in my deep subconscious, you taking the good time to really type it out and everything for us all (failures seizing at any magic tips lol) really brings out the…um, fire I had when I signed up. Oh, and btw I totally agree about the prep classes being unnecessary lol.

Yeah. I think I’m going to go study before this week is up lol…
You said most Asians started studying in 8th grade? I’m a freshman and I just sort of arrogantly decided I could nail a decent grade after looking at some of the practice math questions…

Then I saw the essay topics and CR questions and I was like…oh, f***!
Hm. Oh well. I wish everyone else good luck and hope they got as much out of your awesomeness as I did. Peace. :)

Thanks a lot for your advise. I am little puzzled by time planing. to be honest I’m a Chinese senior student and want some aids for my test. Hoho, maybe I should take them but I don’t know whether it’s suitable for me. . . . . . . . . . .

just bookmarked it, i got a 2320 and am going for 2400 in March.

if i got a 2400 i would start screaming

Ha ha, I would too. Too bad I have no more shots left to take the SATs.

I’m taking my first one as a sophomore on March 13th. I’m shooting for a 2000.

Hey carafernandes191 and stevesmith1385 quit spamming. It’s starting to get old.
