Hey! I'm new to CC, and recently was rejected to USC, which has become my top choice within the past year (you can see my stats on the results thread.. the 7th page I think). Anyways, I was wondering exactly how to write the USC appeal. I know that it consists of a cover letter with your information, and then a 1 page letter. What exactly should be put into that letter? Would being a part of a major band honor group, being part of the newly elected MUN Secretariat, etc be valid "new and compelling information"? Similarly, would mentioning my move in my sophomore year, and how it negatively affected my sophomore year grades be "compelling" enough to include?

I also was wondering if mentioning that I am extremely interested in joining the Marching Band, (I have been marching since 5th grade, and it has been a big part of my life) would help me in any way? Also, can I change the major I wish to enter on in my appeal? I have had an epiphany of sorts, and realized that my original major probably is not for me.

Any responses and guidelines are greatly appreciated, thanks!
