<p>Hey guys I'm a junior who is very nervous about college essays. Can anyone give me some tips on how to write them nicely, what the admissions ppl look for, if I should include really personal stuff, etc?</p>

<p>Well, there isn't really a set formula..</p>
<p>I would say just try to make sure your essay captures your voice.. show them who you really are rather than just telling them.</p>
<p>To expand on what econner said, there is a really good essay from an admissions officer at UVA. He basically tells the difference between a good, bad, and risky essay. </p>
